The Happy Meal-box is a social enterprise founded in 2006 with the cooperation between SK and South Korea's central and local government, and NGOs. It's goal is to create jobs for disadvantaged social groups, and provide quality meals to the undernourished.
The Happy Meal-box provides warm meals to the undernourished, and provides secure jobs for cooking or delivery to the underprivileged, such as low-income group, unemployed women, and senior citizens. It has also grown as an unparalleled social enterprise in the country, and creates social and economic impact.
The Happy Meal-box Social Cooperative was founded in 2013 with the partnership between Happy Meal-box Center, and The Happiness Foundation. By strengthening the skills of participants, joint-purchasing ingredients, developing standard menus, and developing various business projects, Happy Meal-box program is continuously growing.
